France – VAT Reduction for Shoe and Leather Goods Repairs from 20% to 5.5% as of 1st January 2025.

The French Parliament has approved a reduction in the VAT rate for shoe and leather goods repairs from 20% to 5.5%, effective from January 1, 2025.

The reduced VAT rate will also apply to the repair of textiles and bicycles.
This measure aims to promote a circular economy and support local businesses.
